This blog is my way of recording events in my life for my own amusement & as a journal of sorts. I really don't expect anyone else to follow this. I am all for DOING, not watching or reading about adventures! However if anything I have done or am talking about doing on here inspires you to "GO FOR IT", then I've done my good deed of the day.

Beginning a new chapter of my life, flying solo after many years of married life, in a new area of my native state, Missouri (MO) & reestablishing a very simple, basic lifestyle on a spot of raw land.

One Month from next ROAD TRIP!

Today is my 'one month to go' mark from when I embark on my next road trip! Guess I'd better start thinking about prepping for this next adventure!

In keeping with trying to inject some FUN into my life which is usually filled with WORK, I vowed to DO something to keep some fun in my life. Enter the motorcycle!

Got this hoping to ride with two very good friends of mine. Turns out one moved to FL & the other friend decided life was less complicated with me out of their life so.....what's a girl to do????? Ride solo!

This riding solo (& much intimidating milestone) was overcome by embarking on a 3200 mile solo trip, blogged about previously. Once I had these miles under my belt, most fears were faced & conquered! I still very much respect my bike & am ever mindful of just how dangerous riding is. But life being what it is, you just never know when a companion will die, leave or just change their mind about things so one should ALWAYS be prepared to consider doing things their damn self.

Anyway, this trip will be one of those adventures of a lifetime! Details to follow as I dust off my maps, prep my gear & start the mental musing of one getting ready to do 5K on their bike! Stay tuned for further info!
